Syed Anas Pasha was born in Sylhet, Bangladesh in 1965. He was only at the tender age of six during the 1971 Bangladeshi independence movement but says he still clearly remembers some events during the period.
Having had many friends and family directly involved or affected by the liberation struggle, Mr Pasha has taken a deep interest in Bangladesh's history and has been described by many as a community activist.
Mr Pasha writes regularly about Bangladesh's affairs and also writes reports regarding British Bangladeshi events.
He currently lives in London and works for the largest news agency in Bangladesh, banglanews24.com.
